Grant Maker Program Descriptions
Issue Briefings
Based upon the interests of Members, AGM presents a wide variety
of briefings designed to educate, update, challenge, and inform
grant makers throughout the year.
Professional Development Workshops for Grant Makers
Each year, AGM produces a series designed to sharpen the skills
of grant maker staff, trustees, and grant making committee members
in areas critical to improving the social and financial returns
on their investments. These sessions promote expertise in areas
identified as priorities for enhancing grant making practice by
AGM Members.
Funders Day Out Site Visits
Each summer, AGM organizes a variety of program related site visits.
These programs are designed to give funders an opportunity to meet
with representatives of community organizations and hear about and
see the work they do, while spending time learning with colleagues.
New England Funders Conference
AGM hosts an all-day conference for New England grant makers. The
conference offers a variety of sessions and workshops, covering
timely topics and providing skill-building tools.
Funder Roundtables
To address the specific needs and concerns of the diverse stakeholder
groups within philanthropy, AGM convenes the following roundtables
that offer networking, peer exchange and professional development
opportunities for staff and trustees:
