Manet Community Health Center is a not-for-profit health and social service provider founded in 1979 to provide access to health care for any community resident who needs it, regardless of health insurance coverage status or ability to pay. Manet serves patients from across the South Shore and Southeastern MA, with locations in Quincy, Hull and Taunton.
The Manet Philanthropy Intern will assist the philanthropy office in facilitating fundraising activities for the foundation. Duties include securing and processing donations through various vehicles including, but not limited to: database management, direct mail, events and direct donor communications and outreach. This internship is ideal for students interested in a fulfilling career in non-profit management, communications and fundraising.
The Philanthropy Intern will work under the supervision of the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) of the Manet Community Health Foundation, located at the Manet Community Health Center, 101 West Squantum Street, Quincy, MA 02171, during regular business hours (Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm).
The Philanthropy Intern will perform the following tasks:
- Assist in the preparation of grants, written case studies, and other content for various publications, including, but not limited to: grant proposals, website, newsletters, annual report and social media, designed to facilitate donations to the organization.
- Assist in processing donations, mailings and other data entry projects as needed. Knowledge of customer retention management (CRM) tools is preferred, but not required.
- Assist in the preparation, budget management and logistics of events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Hour/Compensation: Up to 20 hours per week / $12 per hour
